Science Fair
Calling all scientists! Registration for the first ever Deep River Public Library Science Fair is now open!
We ask that all participants complete a registration form that can be completed at the library, or by clicking HERE.

Chess Club
Chess Club is back for the fall! Join us from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm in the library playing chess and making friends. Ages 8+, registration is not required.

FAmily Art Club
Join Robin in the children’s library as we learn about a new beloved artist and picture book illustrator every month! We will examine the artist’s work, talk about the various techniques and styles used, then work on an art project that’s inspired by what we’ve learned!
This program is open to all, and no registration is required. Ages 4-12.

fall story time
Every other Tuesday at 10:30am, join Ms. Robin for stories, songs, rhymes, crafts and more!
Free drop-in program geared towards toddlers and preschoolers. No registration required. Check the program calendar for dates. Fall session starts September 8th.

Story Time with BIAK
Join us to welcome special Story Time hosts the Bonnechere Inòdewiziwin Abinòdjìnjish Kikinàmàgan (BIAK) EarlyOn unit. BIAK is a Mobile Unit that travels throughout Renfrew County providing Indigenous teachings, drumming and Algonquin Language for children and families.
Activities will be provided, games and stories for youth, parents and educators about Indigenous peoples’ culture, history, and languages.
Drumming and singing with the Kichi Sibi Women drummers is encouraged by all using children’s drums provided by the BIAK EarlyOn. No registration is required, and Story Time (including BIAK visits) are free and open to all. First session on September 22nd.

LEGO Club
Join us in the Children’s Areas for Lego Club every the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. It’s free and a drop-in program. Children 10 and under require adult supervision.
We will have Lego out for all ages, along with a theme and challenges.

STEAM Club
Join us in the Children’s Area for STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) club on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month, 10:30am-2:30pm. It’s free and a drop-in program. Children under 10 require adult supervision.
We will have STEAM stations set up around the children’s area. There will be activities out for ages 3 and up.
