Short Stories about Four Northern Rivers
Emily Edwards was lucky enough to be brought up on the shore of the
Ottawa river in the beautiful town of Deep River. Her Dad had her out
canoeing by age 3 and overnight camping by age 6. She hasn’t paddled
continuously throughout her life, but, now retired, she spends as much
time as possible with paddles or oars in her hands.
In Short Stories about Four Northern Rivers Emily recounts her
experiences on rivers in Nunavut, the NWT, and the Yukon. She also
compares the differences between being a client on a guided trip,
paddling self-guided with friends, and working as a guide herself.
